LAUNCHED!

I launched my book in Montreal at the Drawn and Quarterly store in Montreal on Nov.12 (see poster below). Then, all that weekend, I sold my book at Expozine alongside the Conundrum Press table. Andy Brown took a few photos of the launch at d&q, and me and Sarah Burwash at our table at Expozine next to Sherwin Tija. Expozine makes for a very long day, drinking beer and taking a nap is just par for the course.

Roberts Street Social Centre
back door and the shack I slept in is to the right behind the fence

Me and Conundrum Press Publisher extroardinaire Andy Brown right after I finished my last print at Inkstorm
I just had my photo's from my trip to Halifax developed. I was there for two weeks in the end of September and beginning of October. I had a residency with the Inkstorm Screen-printing shop at the Roberts Street Social Centre. I slept in a tiny tiny little shack behind the centre and I loved every minute of my time in Halifax (except any time that I had to spend at Kinkos). If you are ever there you should visit the immense zine library (a collection of over 3000) at the Social Centre.
During my residency I screen-printed a 7 page book that is an edition of 7. Then I moved on to my major major project. I screen-printed 440, 4 color wrap covers for my book 'So I've Been Told' that Conundrum Press has published. I started off with 500 and made a mere 60 mistakes, not bad. I have never taken on a printing job that big before. I got it done thanks to the awesome people at Inkstorm who stretched some new screens for me and provided me with a fantastic facility.

I'm currently in Halifax doing a residency at the Inkstorm Screeenprinting Collective. I'm sleeping in a little shack behind the studio, it's pretty sweet. I'm printing a limited edition cover for my book that Conundrum Press is publishing. A real book! The launch is November 12th at Drawn and Quarterly in Montreal. Check it out here

YPF Osheaga weekend
Pavement! Weekend highlight.

I just got back from my weekend in Montreal at the Osheaga music festival where I was involved in the YPF's installation on the festival grounds. Perfect weather, perfect friends. Thanks to the YPF people for involving me in their project again this year.
The YPF. La Chasse.
The YPF invites you to our outdoor installation. "La Chasse" is a tribute to the traditional hunters camp, reflecting on the past in a creative and thought provoking way. A magical meeting point of psychedelic dreams. Let's dance into the fire.
Founded in 2003, the YPF is a group of dedicated artists who appreciate the tenet that there is strength in numbers. By creating a forum in which they can explore and develop their respective metiers, the group enjoys the support and encouragement provided by a creative community. Moreover, they are able to foster a continual learning environment by taking advantage of each otherʼs diverse skills and interests, and can effectively organize and promote themselves and their work.
Based in Montreal, where they have been prolific during their life as a collective, showing locally and abroad in places such as The Drake Hotel (Toronto, ON), All Tomorrow’s Parties (Long Beach, CA), Jeff Electric Gallery (Silver Lake, CA), The Open Gallery (Long Beach, CA), The Glass House (Pomona, CA), Osheaga Festival at Parc Jean Drapeau (Montreal, QC), Centre Fractal in association with Pop Montreal (Montreal, QC), and Studio Jenia of the Belgo Building (Montreal, QC).
This years contributing artists:
Dessa Harhay, Jen Storey, Fred Casia, James Kerr, Krissy Longtin, Milena Rogilic, Maryanna Hardy, Tyson Bodnarchuk, Yana Gorbulsky and Brandon Jan Blommaert
